Happy 2006 Everyone!

Was checking out PVP and Scott Kurtz has started a new animated version of PVP.

You can check out the first episode of PVP Alive here

In other news. Author, J. K. Rowling, has stated that she will begin writing the last of the Harry Potter books early in 2006. As much as I'm looking forward to find out how everything ends, I have to admit it will be a bit sad once the final book is released with no more Potter to look forward to. Well atleast we'll have a few more years of movies ahead of us. Read more On " "!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I got Dragon Quest 8, and got to check out the Final Fantasy XII demo included with the game. The Demo showed off some of the CG from the game and let you play two, I guess you'd call them missions, in the game. Each mission required you to find an item, or something to get to/spawn a boss mob. The combat is more like Final Fantasy XI Online, than any other previous Final Fantasy. You actually see the NPCs moving around, and they may even attack each other.

While you have a party of 3 characters, and can assign battle commands to all 3 characters, the game has a fairly competent AI to controll the 2 other characters if you only want to focus on one character during a fight. This game is looking really good and I cant wait for its release later next year. Read more On " "!

King Kong

This movie rocked. Peter Jackson has done it again, bringing Kong to life in a very believable way. Now some people have complained that he took to long getting to Kong, and spent to much time on the boat getting to the island. Personally I enjoyed this part of the movie, just as much as the rest of it. This movie is definatly on my must see list.

Also if your into video games I suggest you check out Peter Jackson's King Kong, for what ever system you happen to own. This is one of the best movie licensed games out there, but considering most of the Lord of the Rings games were hits this shouldnt come as a surprise. The game was developed by the same team who did Beyond Good and Evil.

The game allows you to play both as Jack Driscoll, in a first person view, and as Kong, in a 3rd person view. As Driscoll you have limited resources, of having to resort to using spears, or bones to take down killable creatures, and using insects to distract creatures you cant kill long enough for you to get past them. The game also takes a slightly different path than the movie does, so its not just a scene by scene rehash of the film. Check it out if you get the chance. Read more On " "!

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe

Went to see The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and I have to say Director Andrew Adamson did a terrific job in bringing the world of Narnia to life.

If you've ever read the books, and even if you haven't, this movie is well worth the price of admission. Read more On " "!

20th Century Fox announced today they will be making a sequal to Fantastic Four. The actors who played the Fantastic Four will be returning, but Julian McMahon, who played Doom, will not be returning. Tim Story is also set to direct again.

New Line Cinema is making a film based off a book by Cornilea Funke titled Inkheart. I've never read this book but it sounds like it will make an intresting movie. The story is about a man, named Mo, who when he reads a book aloud the characters come to life. He accidently brings an evil villian, named Capricorn, to life when reading to his daughter. Capricorn then tries to make Mo use his powers for evil, and Mo has to find a way to get Capricorn back into the book. Read more On " "!

Well this is my first blog. So testing this out.

I started by placing some links to sites I visit daily/weekly. GU Comics, PVP Online, and WTF Comics are all very good web comics, and I highly recommend you check them out if you visit this page.

Blingo is a Google powered Search Engine that awards dozens of prizes daily just for doing a search from thier site.

I'll probably use this blog to post intresting movie and gaming news I come across, and any good sweepstakes I find. Read more On " "!
