Olivia Munn Dives Into a Pie

Olivia Munn's Pie Week Petition has reached 62,000+ signatures. So as promised on Friday's Attack of the Show she jumped into a giant chocolate pie dressed in a naughty french maid outfit.

Co-host Kevin Pereira joined her for a dip in the pie.

Hmm, I wonder if she needs any help cleaning all that off.

Watch as Olivia and Kevin jump into the pie. At one point Kevin tries to get a camera man to get a shot of Olivia's rear just before he leaps in.

Behind the scenes footage of the making of the pie. It's roughly 8 feet in diameter, contains 600 gallons of filling, and weighs roughly between 3-4 thousand pounds. Now that's a big pie.

Olivia has also announced her new website oliviamunn.com will be going live Tuesday, Feb. 3rd, and asked that fans embed this video on their sites promoting it.

There will be exclusives and contests and rainbows in jars!

The new two-part series Red Dwarf: Back to Earth will be followed by a "no holds barred" episode without sets, special effects or autocue.

The weekend will climax with Red Dwarf: the Making of Back to Earth, a behind-the-scenes special from the new episodes.

Olivia Munn Loves Pie

She loves it some much, that she has started a petition to have National Pie Day (Jan 23rd) officially expanded into National Pie Week spanning the entire last week of January.

To: U.S. Congress
From Olivia Munn, co-host of G4TV's Attack of the Show!:

"Hello everybody, I'm Cable TV's Olivia Munn and it's no secret that I love pie. Last Friday, we were besieged by viewer emails saying it was National Pie Day -- and it got me thinking. Why are we celebrating god's gift to man for only 24 hours? Why not make it for a week? So today I'm calling it -- it's officially National Pie Week!

Sign below if you agree with my message. We will forward your name to our nation's lawmakers in order to have THE LAST FULL WEEK OF JANUARY officially named 'NATIONAL PIE WEEK.'

Olivia also agreed to jump into a giant pie if she can get 10,000 signatures by Fri. Jan 30th 2009, which has already been passed. So now she has added two new goal levels, 25,000 and 50,000. What will she do if those levels are reached? For 25,000 signatures she will jump into a pie dressed as a French Maid. If it reaches 50,000 she will dress as a "naughty" French Maid.

You can sign her petition at Petition Online. You can also keep up to date on the pie petition at her blog, Hey Olivia!

New Arrivals Mizuho Kazami and Raquel

A couple of new figures came in the mail today. First up is Good Smile Company's Mizuho Kazami from Please Teacher!. Got her for a great deal on Ebay, only $23.00. I had really wanted to get this figure when it first came out, but never got around to buying it before it sold out everywhere.

Back of the box.

This is a very beautiful figure of Mizuho. Accessories included are a chair, a parfait, and Marie.

Just as beautiful from the back. The hairdo is also really nice.

Miss Kazami has gorgeous legs.

I know this pic is fuzzy, but for some reason my camera wants to focus on the monitor and not the figure when I try to take a close up shot. The camera I use is a Aiptek, and I haven't had it for to long. Not sure if it's the settings, the way I'm holding the camera, or if it just isn't made to take close up shots like this.

Second figure is Raquel from Scrapped Princess. This figure came with the limited edition version of Scrapped Princess Vol 2 DVD. The person I bought Mizuho from threw this is as a bonus for being a fellow Danny Choo reader.

As you can see this is a very tall figure. She's nearly as tall as my monitor, and her legs are almost freakishly long. I've only seen the first DVD of this series, but I don't remember her legs being that long.

Aside from the legs the rest of the figure is actually quite nice.

You can move her arm to change her pose a bit, however.....

There is an indentation in her left eye, where her arm normally rests.

The guy I bought these from also threw in some postcards, buttons, Genon DVD sampler, and a Hamtaro balloon.

Kagami's Figma-pod

After seeing the info on the Figma bicycles that are going to be offered at Wonder Hobby, I decided to take some photos of Kagami on her Figma-pod.

She looks like she's having a lot of fun.

Roy Fokker pulls her over for speeding. He decides to let her go with a warning. I mean who could write a ticket to such a cutie.

Fans protest Avatar film

After learning that M. Night Shyamalan has cast non-Asian's in the roles of the 4 main character's in his upcoming live action adaptation of Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender, some fans have begun a boycott campaign to have the casting changed. Avatar is a series set in a distinctly Asian setting. Architecture, clothing, and even food is inspired by Asian culture. Yet Paramount and M. Night Shyamalan have gathered an entirely non-Asian cast for the main roles. The lead cast consists of Noah Ringer as Aang, Nicola Peltz as Katara, Jesse McCartney as Zuko and Jackson Rathbone Sokka.

Derek Kirk Kim has posted a blog concerning the issue, and it is a very intresting read. He is also asking for people, specifically people in the entertainment industry to sign a petition to have the film recast.

New Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Trailer

Trailer Addict has the just released Japanese trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The trailer features new footage, and a short introduction by Daniel Radcliffe.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie. Although, I really hope they do better jobs on the fight scenes. The big battle at the end of Order of the Phoenix, with the Death Eaters, and Order members turning to smoke and flying around the room, without brooms, was really lame. It was if they didn't want to bother filming an actual fight and just wanted to get through that part of the film as fast as possible and to the confrontation between Dumbledore and Voldemort. And the book had such great fights between Harry's friends and the Death Eaters.

What are your thoughts on the new film? Looking forward to it, or couldn't care less?

FREEing Konata Izumi

Hobby Japan magazine has this preview of FREEing's 1/4 scale Konata Izumi in it's recent issue. As you can see by the Konata Figma in one of the pics, this is a huge statue of Konata. The figure is scheduled for release in June 2009. No price has been given, but seeing as how most of FREEing's other 1/4 scale figures retail for around 11,000 yen or so, you can probably expect Konata to be in that general area price wise.

Overall the figure looks really nice. And looking closer at the pictures, it looks as if her gym cloths are actual clothe. If you look at the top left image, you see that her shirt is pulled up revealing her belly button. In the other 3 front images it is pulled down over her shorts.

This figure is defiantly on my to buy list. Luckily it is still a few months off, so I have time to save up for her. Is this Konata on your want list?

Max Factory Adult Mikuru

Mikatan has posted these pictures of a upcoming Max Factory release on her blog. The figure comes with two different faces as seen in the pictures, but Mikatan also mentions it will come with an interchangeable arm that will make people go "wow". Can't wait to see what it is.

Love this face that comes with the figure. Mikuru gets serious as she's about to show Kyon the birthmark on her eyes to prove she's really the grown-up Mikuru.

From head to toe this is a gorgeous figure of Mikuru, and is defiantly on my want list. No release or price information is available yet, but once some info is released I'll be sure to post it.

Adult Swim cancels Moribito

Adult Swim has canceled it's broadcast of Moribito, and will be replacing it with reruns of Inuyasha. I was really enjoying the series also. Now I will have to rent the DVD's from Netflix or something in order to finish the series.

For those who aren't familiar with the show, it's about a spearwoman named Balsa, who saves a prince from drowning. Afterward the princes mother asks Balsa to take him and protect him, because the princes father, the Emperor, wants to kill him in order to stop what he believes will be a great catastrophe for his land. The reason being the prince has the spirit of a water demon living inside him, and it is prophesied that when the spirit matures it will cause a great drought. So Balsa agrees to protect the prince and must keep them hidden from the Emperor's assassins.

I used to watch Cartoon Network's Adult Swim all the time, but now it's nothing but reruns and crappy original programming. Do you feel Adult Swim is gone down hill, or do you actually enjoy the current programing?

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Review

Watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog yesterday. Written and Directed by Joss Whedon, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog stars Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, a evil genius whose goals in life are to join the Evil League of Evil, defeat his nemisis Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion), and actually talk to the girl of his dreams, Penny (Felicia Day).

Dr. Horrible practices his evil laugh on his video blog.

This movie was shot during the writers strike last year, and released online at DrHorrible.com. The movie is separated into 3 acts. Act 1 introduces the main characters Dr. Horrible, Captain Hammer, and Penny and Dr. Horrible sets his evil plan into motion. Act 2 is the Empire Strikes Back of the movie, and things start to go "horribly" wrong for Dr. Horrible. And Act 3 Dr. Horrible comes out on top, but at what cost?

Captain Hammer thwarts one of Dr. Horrible's evil plans

I really enjoyed watching it. The characters are great, and the songs are fun and catchy. Unlike most movies you actually want to see the villain win. Dr. Horrible is sure to become a cult classic. If you haven't seen it, then I highly recommend you do. You can watch it via Hulu below.
